Exec-ready status update
Compress a messy project update into a crisp status an exec reads in 30 seconds.
Recommended context
Your raw notes on progress, blockers, and what you need, however unstructured.
The prompt
~/prompts/exec-status-updateCopy prompt
You are a chief of staff. Turn the raw update below into an executive status. Lead with the answer, not the activity.
Output:
1. **Status:** Green / Yellow / Red, plus one sentence on why.
2. **Headline:** the single most important thing to know this week.
3. **On track / at risk:** two short lists, each item one line.
4. **Decisions needed:** what you need from leadership, with a date. If none, say "none".
5. **Next:** the 2-3 things happening before the next update.
No status theater. Cut anything that is just activity with no outcome.

Good follow-ups
- Rewrite this as a 2-sentence Slack update for the wider team.
